3MBS is proud to present a discussion series featuring a distinguished line-up of some of Melbourne’s most prominent women arts leaders.

Each Wednesday evening in May during the 3MBS Radiothon, 3MBS presenter Jessica Carrascalão Heard will lead an open discussion with two special guests in the magnificent surrounds of the Abbotsford Convent.

This ticketed live event will give audiences the opportunity to hear from women in leadership across a broad range of Victorian arts organisations and audience members will also have the chance to ask questions.

Join us to hear how the pandemic has impacted artists and affected Melbourne’s arts sector, how as leaders they have navigated these challenges to remain connected with audiences, and what they envisage the future of the arts will be in a post-COVID world.

Wednesday 4 May, 7pm
Collette Brennan – CEO, Abbotsford Convent
Adele Schonhardt – Co-Director, Australian Digital Concert Hall

Wednesday 11 May, 7pm
Elizabeth Hill-Cooper – CEO Victorian Opera
Anne Frankenberg – Deputy CEO, Musica Viva Australia

Wednesday 18 May, 7pm

Fiona Menzies – CEO, Creative Partnerships Australia

Wednesday 25 May, 7pm

These events will be 60 minutes in duration with an additional 15-minute Q&A.

About

3MBS is Melbourne’s only local fine music radio station. Operating on a Community Radio licence, they rely on the financial support of listeners in the form of subscriptions, donations and bequests.

Their broadcasters are all volunteers, who are passionate about fine music and want to share their passion with like-minded community members. 3MBS engages a diverse community of almost 200 volunteers working in a range of activities including music cataloguing, radio production, sound engineering and administration.
